Petitioner seeks bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 1 year 4 months. The evidence of the victim is over. Therefore, there is hardly any chance of the petitioner either absconding or tampering with the evidence.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the evidence of the victim.

Considering the materials in the case diary and considering the fact that the trial is in progress, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. The Court is in seisin of the trial is requested to dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. C.R.M. (DB) 289 of 2022 is dismissed.
