Versus

The State of West Bengal & ors.

1. Petitioner seeks for a direction to consider his representation, wherein it has been alleged that a pond has been filled up illegally. The person, who is alleged to have filled up the pond has not been specifically named nor impleaded in the writ petition. Therefore, no positive direction can be issued in this writ petition and suffice it to direct the 3rd respondent/District Land and Land Reforms Officer, Nadia to consider the petitioner's representation dated December 12, 2024, which was sent by Speed Post and shown to have been delivered in the office of the 6th respondent on December 16, 2024.

2. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the petitioner to appear in person in the office of the 3rd respondent viz., the District Land and Land Reforms Officer, Nadia and submit a copy of the representation along with the copy of this order after which the representation shall be considered and appropriate action be initiated after notice to all concerned as expeditiously as possible but preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of server copy of this order.

3. No costs.

4. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities.
