Petitioner(s) Mr. Amal Krishna Samanta ... for the Petitioner in CRM (DB) 62 of 2025 Mr. Pinak Kumar Mitra Ms. Sudarshana Srivastava ... for the petitioner in CRM (DB) 194/2025 Ms. Debjani Sahu ... for the State-respondent(s) in CRM (DB) 350/25 Mr. Asraf Mondal ... for the State-Respondent(s) in CRM (DB) 62/25; & CRM (DB) 194 of 2025 CRAN 1 of 2025 In [CRM (DB) 194 of 2025] The petitioner was granted bail on 25th April, 2025 because of the neglect of the police officer not supplying the
grounds of arrest. The said order was passed not on merits but on technical grounds, as such, the conditions so imposed while granting bail would continue as it has been submitted that still certain persons are absconding after the chargesheet has been submitted. Having regard to the reasons so assigned while granting the bail; the factum that the merits of the case was not considered as also the fact that the petitioner is enjoying the privilege of bail, I am of the opinion that, at this stage, no interference is called for.
Accordingly, CRAN 1 of 2025 is dismissed.
CRAN 2 of 2025 In [CRM (DB) 62 of 2025] The petitioner was granted bail on 25th April, 2025 and the conditions so imposed earlier were relaxed by an order dated 04.08.2025.
Having considered the reasons cited above and the fact that the petitioner having been granted bail on the same issue without entering into the merits of the case, I am not inclined to relax the conditions which were earlier granted as some of the accused persons are still absconding. Accordingly, CRAN 2 of 2025 is dismissed.
However, if there are any medical issues, the same be brought to the notice of the learned jurisdictional court in
seisin of the case, the learned court would exercise its discretion, on consideration of the medical report submitted by the petitioner and dispose of the same.
