Petitioners before us are the in-laws of the victim. Statements of neighbors implicate all the petitioners in demanding dowry from the victim.

Police are investigating a case for murder.

Postmortem report of the victim is inconclusive as to the cause of death.

Materials in the case diary suggest that the husband of the victim was having an affair with another lady. Death of the victim occurred at her matrimonial home.

In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners in both the petitions. Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected in both the matters.

CRM (A) 257 of 2024 and CRM (A) 5636 of 2023 are dismissed.
