The singular grievance put forth in this petition is that the respondents are not uploading all the pending First Information Reports, which were registered on and after 15th November, 2016.

Reliance was placed on the order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Young Bar Association of India Vs. Union of India & Ors. decided on 7th September, 2016 4.

Learned counsel for the State produced a report signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Detective Department, Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate, which reads thus:- "REPORT WPA (P) No.26 of 2023 Sri Sourav Mondal -Vs- The State of West Bengal & Others With due respect this is to inform you that the petitioner preferred to file the instant writ petition alleging non-function of uploading First Information Reports in the Police Website (FIR Management System) of Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate. It is also to be mentioned that the petitioner indicated a case vide Narayanpur PS

Case No.106 date 01.06.2022 in the instant writ petition which was not uploaded by the police authority of Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate. After thorough scrutiny of PS record as well as website of this Commissionerate, it is revealed that the FIR in question was registered on 18.07.2022 at Narayanpur PS instead of 01.06.2022. Be it to mention here that some technical problems were taking place in FIR Management System of the website of this Commissionerate during the filing of the instant writ petition i.e. in the year 2023 but, after communication with the concerned authority i.e. State E-Governance Management Team, IT Department, Govt.

of West Bengal, the problems were solved and at present, uploading of First Information Reports in the Police Website (FIR Management System) of Bidhannagar Police Commissioner is functioning smoothly in compliance with the order o the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India except the cases sensitive in nature. A copy of screen shot of the website of Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate is annexed herewith and marked as "Annexure - A". This is for favour of your kind information." 5.

On the strength of this report, the learned counsel for the State submits that except in case where technical glitch takes place and the matters, which are sensitive in nature, the F.I.R.s are uploaded on regular basis on the relevant portal.

There is nobody to oppose the said contention of the learned counsel for the State.

We find no reason to disbelieve the report/contention.

In view of this, nothing remains to be adjudicated in this matter.

With this above, PIL stands disposed of.
