It is submitted by the learned Public Prosecutor, High Court, Calcutta that the appellant has expired. 2.

The report of the Superintendent, Baruipur Central Correctional Home dated 15th December, 2024 is also placed indicating that the sole appellant has expired on 1st February, 2017 at M.R. Bangur Hospital.

The said report of the Superintendent, Baruipur Central Correctional Home dated 15th December, 2024 is kept with the record.

In view of the aforesaid submissions, the instant criminal appeal, therefore, stands abated.

C.R.A. No. 12 of 2012 is disposed of as abated. 6.

In view of the disposal of appeal itself, the connected application being CRAN 2 of 2016 shall also stand disposed of.
