It appears from the submissions made on behalf of the parties that the petitioner remained absent on the date of the examination. The mark sheet of the petitioner reflects that she was absent on the scheduled date of examination.

It is the case of the petitioner that as the course was conducted online she was not made aware to remain present on the particular date for appearing in the examination accordingly, she could not present herself on the day of the examination.

On the direction of the Court the learned advocate appearing on behalf of NIOS has taken instructions and has submitted before the Court that

the course in question completed on 31st March, 2019 and presently there is no scope for extension of time to permit the petitioner to appear in the examination for completing her course.

In view of the said submission, no relief can be granted to the petitioner in the instant case. The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon completion of usual legal formalities.
