Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents.

The petitioner claiming to be wife of the deceased employee who died in harness on 22.01.2019 has approached the West Bengal Administrative Tribunal (hereinafter referred to as 'The S.A.T.') for grant of all the death-cum-retiral benefits. The S.A.T.

by its order dated 02.12.2024 has considered that there is one Goutam Ghosh mentioned in the applicant's petition who was claiming to be son of the deceased.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that his claim is to be a step son and not a son.

Be that as it may, by the impugned order dated 02.12.2024, the S.A.T. has merely directed for impleading the said Goutam Ghosh as a private respondent.

We find no infirmity in such order in view of the petitioner's own application, wherein he has mentioned the name of Goutam Ghosh; it is only proper to implead him as a party so that he is given an opportunity to present his case, before the S.A.T. proceeds to consider the petitioner's claim for grant of death-cum-retiral dues.

At this juncture learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would be impleading the said Goutam Ghosh as a party respondent before the S.A.T. in the pending O.A. No. 588 of 2024 within a week.

If that be done, we expect the S.A.T. will proceed in the matter expeditiously without granting any undue adjournment, or unnecessary delay.

The Writ Petition is dismissed.
