Sadik Molla v. State Of West Bengal & ORS
23rd June, (AK) CPAN 390 of 2020 IA No: CAN 1 of 2020 (Old No: CAN 5120 of 2020) in W.P.A 962 of 2020 Sadik Molla Vs.
Shri Ritam Bhattacharyya Mr. Sahid Uddin Ahmed ...for the petitioner.
Mr. Samrat Sen Ms. Amrita Panja Moulick ...for the alleged contemnor.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner contends that, despite a specific direction to pass a reasoned order, the alleged contemnor did not do so. The learned Senior Advocate appearing for the alleged contemnor files a report of the District Magistrate and Collector, South 24 Parganas, with a copy to the learned advocate for the petitioner, which indicates that on March 29, 2022, the District Magistrate and Collector had passed a reasoned order in terms of the direction of this court.
Even if the petitioner has or had any grievance against such order, it is for the petitioner to challenge the same in a regular writ petition.
However, sitting in contempt jurisdiction, there is no scope to pass any further order, since the order of this
court has been duly complied with in the meantime by the District Magistrate and Collector.
Hence, CPAN 390 of 2020 is dismissed without any order as to costs.
CAN 1 of 2020 (Old No: CAN 5120 of 2020) is disposed of accordingly.
Urgent photostat copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
