Mr. Omar Faruk Gazi Ms. Susmita Das Ms. S. Panda ..for the petitioner Mr. Bipin Ghosh ..for the State The petitioner submitted a representation before the Panchayat Authority seeking issuance of a legal heir certificate upon the death of his brother, Md. Safiuddin alias Sk. Safiuddin.

It is submitted before this Court that Md. Safiuddin alias Sk. Safiuddin died intestate and was unmarried at the time of his death. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner contends that, despite submission of the representation, no steps have been taken by the Panchayat Authority.

In the circumstances, no useful purpose would be served by keeping the writ petition pending. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Panchayat Pradhan, Chandigarh Rohanda Gram Panchayat, Barasat-II, respondent no. 3, to consider the representation appearing at page 17

of the writ petition, in accordance with law, and to pass a reasoned order within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order. WPA 2079 of 2026 is, accordingly, disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
