Petitioner approach this Court being aggrieved that in spite of complaining to the police authorities of Ekbalpore Police Station relating to the accusation of promise to marry and by deceitful means physically abusing the petitioner, no action has been taken by the police authorities.

Learned advocate for the State has submitted a report. Report reflects that Ekbalpore police station has already drawn up zero FIR and transferred the case to Suntikoppa Police Station for facilitating further investigation. The State authorities claims that the statutory duty vested with the police authorities have been complied with.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the cause of action arose within the jurisdiction of Ekbalpore police station. Be that as it may since the FIR has been drawn up and has been transferred to another police station which is outside the jurisdiction of this Court, this Court is not in a position to pass necessary directions upon the police station which is situated within the jurisdiction of the State of Karnataka. Petitioner accordingly would take steps with the concerned police which is in seisin of the matter.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate for the petitioner.

Accordingly, WPA 1962 of 2025 is disposed of. All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
