On the basis of the order dated 16th December, 2022 the learned P.P.-in-charge has submitted a report of the concerned officer of Behala Police Station. The police officer recorded the statement of the de facto complainant wherein she stated that the dispute between the parties has been amicably settled. Behala Police Station Case No. 101 of 2016 arose out of a matrimonial dispute under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

In view of the guidelines of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Parbatbhai Aahir vs. State of Gujarat and another reported in (2018) 1 SCC (Cri.1), the instant settlement can be accepted by this Court.

Accordingly, the joint petition for compromise is accepted. In view of such compromise ACGR Case No.1333 of 2016 arising out of Behala P.S. Case No.101 of 2016 dated 8th March, 2016 under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code presently pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Alipore be quashed.

The instant revision is, thus, disposed of.

All connected applications are also disposed of. Police report be kept with the record.
