It appears that the Pradhan, Tilkhoja Gram Panchayat passed a reasoned order dated January 16, 2026 pursuant to an order dated December 11, 2025, passed in a contempt proceeding (WPCRC 159 of 2025).

It is an admitted position before this court that the contempt proceeding has not yet been disposed of and that the next date of hearing in the contempt proceeding is fixed on February 12, 2026.

In the considered view of this Court, any order passed in the present writ petition may interfere with the pending contempt proceeding, which would be contrary to judicial discipline and propriety. Accordingly, W.P.A. 1809 of 2026 stands dismissed.

The petitioner is at liberty to ventilate his grievances in the pending contempt proceeding. (Kausik Chanda, J.)
