An inadvertent error has crept into the order passed on 7th February, 2025.

In the said order "CRR 370 of 2024" be read as "CRR 370 of 2025". The department is directed to incorporate necessary correction accordingly.

This order be treated as part of the order passed on 7th February, 2025.

Report submitted by the State is taken on record. It appears from the report and is also submitted by the learned counsels for the parties that the dispute has been amicably settled between the parties and the private opposite party does not intend to proceed with the matter any further.

In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that allowing the proceeding to continue shall be a futile exercise. CGR case no. 4912 of 2018 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 9th Court, Alipore be quashed.

The petitioner be set at liberty at once and be discharged from his bail bond.

CRR 370 of 2025 and the connected application, being CRAN 1 of 2025 are disposed of.
