1. The petitioner is an existing lessee of a sand block and the subject lease is valid till the end of February, 2025. The West Bengal Mineral Development and Trading Corporation Limited has floated a tender for auction of a different sand block, which is no way connected with the sand block of the petitioner.

2. The petitioner in the instant writ petition seeks extension of his lease.

3. It will be open for the authority to take steps in the matter, in accordance with law.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of.

5. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
