And In Re : Abdul Rasheed ..... petitioner Mr. Sandipan Ganguly .... for the petitioner Mr. Rudradipta Nandy ... for the State Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, the petitioner was falsely implicated. The petitioner is sought to be proceeded against on the basis of the statement of a co-accused made in custody.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that, the petitioner was running two several exchanges by which, the petitioner was showing international calls to be local calls and, therefore, defrauding the Telephone Department. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein and considering the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 511 of 2022 is dismissed.
