A communication dated 27.07.2024 issued by the Registrar of the University, as filed in Court, is taken on record. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the post of Principal for the College has been deemed to have been regularised pursuant to an interview that had taken place on 08.07.2024. The Principal has joined on 13.07.2024 and has been formally appointed.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the University relies on the communication and submits that the deficiencies that the College had have already been cured. The Principal has also joined the post. Therefore, the College can arrange for the necessary documents and information which need to be uploaded at the time of the application for affiliation and the application, if made, shall be considered in accordance with law.

Since the deficiencies have admittedly been cured, there should be no impediment upon the University to grant affiliation to the College for the next session. Let the College make appropriate application in accordance with law in due course and the University shall consider the same expeditiously and in accordance with law. If there is any link to be provided for the purpose of regularising the affiliation, the same shall be provided by the University in due course.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order may be supplied to the parties expeditiously, if applied for. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
