Ms. Gitashree Mistry .........for the petitioner Mr. Pantu Deb Roy Mr. Pannalal Bandyopadhyay ..........for the State Upon hearing learned counsel appearing for the parties, WPA 1689 of 2022 is disposed of with a direction on the Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Hooghly, to consider the representation made by the petitioner's lawyer on 20th January, 2020 for replacement of the vehicle and renewal of permit within a period of four weeks from date after hearing all concerned parties including the petitioner by way of a reasoned decision. A copy of such reasoned decision shall be made available to the petitioner within a period of one week from the date on which such decision is taken. The Regional Transport Authority shall consider waiving of penalty imposed on the petitioner in the event the petitioner has proceeded within the time frame under the relevant Statute.

WPA 1689 of 2022 is disposed of in terms of the above.
