The complaint of the petitioner is directed against the refusal of the CESC Ltd. to supply a fresh electricity connection to the petitioner.

The advocate appearing on behalf of the CESC Ltd. submits that, an appropriate inspection has been caused by them but the private respondents did not permit the CESC Ltd. to install a fresh electric connection at the premises of the petitioner.

None appears on behalf of the private respondents. I am of the view that CESC Ltd. be directed to forthwith provide a fresh electric connection to the premises of the petitioner in accordance with law and

after compliance with all the statutory formalities. In carrying out the aforesaid exercise, the Officer-in-Charge of Bauria Police Station is directed to provide all necessary police assistance to the CESC Ltd.

It is needless to mention that all the costs and charges incurring in carrying out the aforesaid exercise be borne by the petitioner. The petitioner is also directed to comply with all statutory formalities before obtaining a fresh electric connection. The aforesaid exercise is to be completed within four weeks from the passing of this order.

With the aforesaid directions, WPA 2168 of 2021 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
