Heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties. Records reveal that the petitioner's prayer for bail was rejected earlier on 20th December, 2021.

We do not find any substantial change in the circumstances subsequent to rejection of the petitioner's prayer on 20th December, 2021 and as such, the petitioner's prayer for bail is refused at this stage.

Ms. Gomes, learned advocate appearing for petitioner, however, expresses the petitioner's anguish and inconvenience, as regards the delay in the progress of the trial stating that the petitioner had already suffered long incarceration for about 202 days. Answering our query, Mr. Bapuli, learned advocate appearing for the State submits, upon instruction, that charges have already been framed and the next date for evidence has been fixed on 6th April, 2022. In view thereof, we request the Learned Court below to expeditiously conduct the trial and, if necessary, upon resorting to the steps available under Section 309 of the Code of Criminal Procedure so that logical conclusion of the case may be reached at the earliest,

without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. With the above observations and directions, the application for bail being CRM(DB) No.309 of 2022 is, accordingly, disposed of.
