1. The grievance of the petitioner is directed against non-supply of an electricity connection.

2. On behalf of WBSEDCL, it is submitted that there is strong resistance from the private respondent who do not permit supply of electricity from the alleged common passage.

3. On behalf of private respondents, it is disputed that the land disclosed as common passage is not common passage and the line should be taken from

an alternative plot belonging to the petitioner's wife.

4. In view of the submissions made on behalf of the parties, WPA/1950/2026 stands disposed of by directing the District Magistrate, Purba Medinipore to decide on the question of where the electricity line is to be taken from after hearing all the parties including the representatives of the WBSEDCL.

5. The above exercise is to be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.
