Case No. 56 of 2019 dated 14.7.2019 wherein charge-sheet was submitted on or about 27.2.2020 under Sections 419/420/120B of the IPC which is pending before the Learned ACJM, Bidhannagar.

The petitioner is directed to serve a copy of this revisional application upon Mr. Tanmay Kumar Ghosh, Learned Advocate, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. His appearance may be regularised by the concerned authority.

The record reflects that in the last of the orders it was fixed for service return of notice.

Having regard to the fact that the case was instituted in the year 2019 and more than four years have passed since the initiation of the case, I direct the Learned Trial Court to take recourse to harsher process of law for compelling the appearance of the accused persons. Once, the accused appears before the Court, the Learned Trial Court would take steps for consideration of the charges within a period of three months from the date of his appearance.

The Learned Trial Court, would, thereafter, if required, fix at least one date in every two months, so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the above observations, CRR 251 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order, duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
