As Benches under West Bengal Administrative Tribunal are not available present writ petition is entertained by placing reliance on the judgment of this Court dated 13th January, 2026 passed on a writ petition being WPA 27327 of 2025 (Md. Masidul Islam v. State of West Bengal & Ors.). 2.

Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

Prayer is made in this writ petition for cancellation of order dated 1st March, 2024 issued by the Deputy Inspector General of Police (P&W), Malda Range and permit the petitioner to function as Village Police Volunteer.

Having heard Mr. Bhattacharya, learned advocate representing the State respondents, it appears that an order to demobilize the petitioner was passed by SP, Dakshin Dinajpur on 26th February, 2024 based on memo dated 16th September, 2011 issued

by the Deputy Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, Finance Department. Aforesaid order dated 26th February, 2024 by which petitioner was demobilised is not questioned.

Learned advocate representing the petitioner prays for leave to withdraw the writ petition.

In view of such prayer made on behalf of the petitioner, writ petition stands dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to take steps in accordance with law.
