Inspector-in-Charge, Baruipur Police Station, South 24-Parganas has filed a report dated 9th February, 2023 and the same is taken on record.

It appears from the report that in respect of the incident in question where the petitioner's son had died, FIR No.1692/22 dated 2nd November, 2022 under sections 341, 324, 325, 326, 307, 302, 34 of the IPC has been filed. About 11 persons have been taken into custody. It is ordered that the investigation into the aforesaid FIR be completed as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of one month from date and Final Report be filed before the concerned Judicial Magistrate. The petitioner complains that he is being intimidated by the private respondents to withdraw the complaint in question.

Baruipur Police shall provide necessary security to the petitioner to ensure that he is not in any way intimidated or harmed by the private respondents. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
