Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that, the petitioners were falsely implicated. Apparently, the victim committed suicide within five months of marriage.

The husband is still in custody.

There are materials in the case diary including the statements recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure implicating the petitioners in meting of torture to the victim.

In such circumstances, considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioners therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 376 of 2023 is dismissed.
