In view of the compliance report dated August 16, 2021 filed by the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, Suti-I, Murshidabad, disclosing the fact that the proceeding under Section 50(f) of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955 was disposed of on November 13, 2020, nothing remains to be decided in the present writ application. The compliance report dated August 16, 2021 is taken on record.

The learned advocate appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner submits that the order dated November 13, 2020 was never communicated to the writ petitioner and as a result, this writ petition has been filed.

However, having regard to the fact that the order has already been passed by the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer concerned under Section 50 of the West Bengal Land Reforms Act, 1955, this writ petition is disposed of by recording that the same has become infructuous.

Needless to mention, in the event the writ petitioner is aggrieved by the order dated November 13, 2020, he shall be at liberty to approach the appropriate forum and for the purpose of counting limitation to avail of such liberty, the date of order of the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer shall be treated as August 16, 2021.

It is recorded that the order passed by the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer concerned has been communicated to Ms. Arpita Basu, learned advocate for the writ petitioner, in her e-mail address.

There will be no order as to costs.

Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, will be made available to the applicant within a week from the date of putting in the requisites.
