Petitioner contends he is in custody for 769 days. Accordingly, he prays for bail.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer.

We have considered the materials on record. Minor victim has implicated the petitioner in the offence of penetrative sexual assault. Petitioner and others had threatened the witnesses. Trial is in progress. 4.

Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of petitioner is rejected.
