1. This writ petition has been filed to remove a foreign liquor shop, which was granted licence by the authorities.

2. In the representation, the petitioner does not specifically states that as to which rule has been infringed while granting the licence.

3. It is submitted by the private respondent no.7 viz. the licensee that the writ petition is not a genuine public interest litigation since it is at the behest of the rival trader.

4. In any event, if the petitioner has not been able to point out any infringement of a rule, the question of issuing a mandamus, as sought for, does not arise.

5. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed.

6. No costs.
