-versus- The State of West Bengal Mr. Md. Ashraf Ali Mr. Indrajit Chatterjee ....for the petitioners.

Petitioners are aggrieved by the continuation of Narendrapur Police Station Case no. 82 of 2022 dated 20-01-2022. In the said proceedings the Investigating Agency on conclusion of investigation submitted chargesheet under the relevant provisions of the IPC in relation to Fisheries Act and West Bengal Land Reforms Act.

Learned advocate for the petitioners submit that the petitioner no.1 is a doctor and he has been implicated along with the other family members and unknowingly is compelled to face the criminal trial.

Records of this revisional application reflect that the chargesheet was submitted on 16th December, 2022, but till date the documents under Section 207 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has not been handed over to the present petitioners. Petitioners would be at liberty to canvass the issues in the present revisional application before the learned trial court at the stage of consideration of charges and at the subsequent stages. Learned Magistrate in seisin of the mater would take steps so that the

documents under Section 207 of the Code of Criminal Procedure is supplied on the next date or within a month thereafter. Steps be taken by the learned trial court thereafter to fix at least one date in a month so that the trial, if any, required to be proceeded in connection with the charges be completed within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being 351 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. All concerned parties are to act in terms of a copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this court. [Tirthankar Ghosh, J]
