Pursuant to the earlier direction passed by this Court on 7th February, 2024, Ms. Biswas, learned advocate appearing for the State has submitted a report. Let the report be kept with the record. Report reflects that Hare Street Police Station Case No.215 of 2009 dated 24.03.2009 has been fixed by the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 18th Court, Calcutta on 18th March, 2024 for appearance, steps and charges.

Having considered the stage of the case, I direct that the learned trial court will compel the appearance of all the accused persons on 18th March, 2024 or within a fortnight from the said date. After compelling the appearance of the accused persons, the learned trial court would try to overcome the stage of consideration of charges by 30th April, 2024. If after consideration of charges the learned trial court is of the opinion that the trial of the case is required to be proceeded, then in that case the learned trial court

after considering the delay would fix at least one date in a month for the purpose of the present case being Hare Street Police Station Case No.215 of 2009 dated 24.03.2009 so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 355 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
