The grievance of the petitioners is directed against the failure of the respondent authorities from shifting a High Tension Line from the land of the petitioners.

The petitioners are represented and submit that notwithstanding an order dated 26th September, 2019 no steps have been taken by the respondent authorities.

The respondent authorities are represented and submits that they had approached the concerned office of the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, but no steps have been taken by the concerned office. In view of the stalemate pertaining to the shifting of the High Tension Electric Line from the petitioners' land and in view of the order dated 26th September, 2019, I direct the concerned Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, the Police Authorities, the District Magistrate and the respondents WBSEDCL to take all collective steps to have the high tension

electric line removed and/or shifted from the petitioners' premises within a period of eight weeks from date.

With the aforesaid directions, WPA 2295 of 2021 is disposed off. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
