Das Ms. Smita Pal ...for the petitioner Mrs. Suvasree Ghosh ...for the WBSEDCL Mr. Nilanjan Adhikari Mrs. Sreya Chakraborty ...for the respondent no.4 The grievance of the petitioner is directed against the refusal of the respondent authority in providing an electricity connection to the petitioner.

Pursuant to an earlier direction of Court the respondent, distribution company is represented and submits that there is an outstanding amount of Rs. 54,667/- payable by the petitioner.

Advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is ready and willing to pay the entire outstanding dues in order to enable to give the electricity connection in the name of the petitioner. In view of the submission made on behalf of the parties, I direct the petitioner to pay the entire outstanding dues i.e. Rs. 54,667/- and all other necessary expenses in accordance with law for obtaining an electricity connection in favour of the petitioner.

If such payment is made, the respondent, distribution company is directed to transfer the electricity connection in favour of the petitioner at the subject premises within a period of one week after payment of such dues.

With the aforesaid directions, WPA No. 2298 of 2021 stands disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. (Ravi Krishan Kapur,J)
