1. Affidavit of service filed in Court today be retained with the records.

2. The petitioner retired from service on 31st January, 2026. Though he submitted his application seeking pension online on 25th April, 2025 and resubmitted the same on 22nd May, 2025, the hard copy of the application could not be submitted as the same has not been signed by the President of the Managing Committee.

3. In November, 2025, a President was nominated in the school but the President is yet to take charge. Because of non-signature of the President, the pension file of the petitioner has not been made ready.

4. The petitioner seeks for a direction upon the District Inspector of Schools to take necessary steps so that he may receive his terminal dues.

5. Learned Advocate representing the State respondents relies on the communication of the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), Purba Medinipur signed on 24th February, 2026 addressed to the Teacher-inCharge of the school. The Teacher-in-Charge has been requested to take necessary steps in this regard.

6. Upon hearing the parties and on perusal of the materials on record it appears that the teacher has retired on 31st January, 2026. Long prior to retirement, he submitted online application seeking pension. As the President of the School Managing Committee did not put his signature, the hard copy of the application form for pension has not been received by the District Inspector of Schools.

7. As the teacher rendered service for a considerable period of time and is eligible to receive pension, accordingly, the District Inspector of Schools, ought to take all necessary steps to ensure that the pension file of the petitioner is made ready without any further delay.

8. All necessary steps shall be taken by the District Inspector of Schools to ensure that the pension

file is completed and forwarded to the DPPG for issuance of PPO in favour of the petitioner.

9. The District Inspector of Schools shall take steps to ensure that PPO is issued in favour of the petitioner latest within a period of four months from the date of communication of this order.

10. The petitioner and the Teacher-in-Charge of the school are directed to render all cooperation to the District Inspector of Schools for making the pension file ready so that PPO can be issued within the time limit as specified hereinabove.

11. Communication of the District Inspector of Schools (Secondary Education), Purba Medinipur to the Teacher-in-Charge dated 24th February, 2026 filed in Court today be retained with the records.

12. WPA 1937 of 2026 is disposed of.

13. Parties to act on the basis of the server copy of this order, duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

14. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
