Reasoned order dated 29th December, 2023 passed by the Chairman of the municipality is placed before this Court.

It appears therefrom that the municipality has considered the case of the petitioner and has opined that the petitioner can take separate line from the main service connection existing in the Holding No. 68 (formerly No.45) Old Calcutta Road, Ward No.10. The petitioner can either act in accordance with the direction passed in the reasoned order or in the event the petitioner is aggrieved by the reasoned order passed by the Chairman of the municipality, then it will be open for the petitioner to challenge the same in a separate proceeding. The legality of the reasoned order cannot be adjudicated in the contempt proceeding.

The contempt application is disposed of.
