The petitioner states that the property of the petitioner situated within Mouza-Narayanpur was acquired for a public purpose and the petitioner has received compensation in respect of the said plots in question. The petitioner states that the petitioner was asked to attend the hearing on January 29, 2025 in respect of issuance of Exempted Category Certificate in favour of the petitioner as a land loser.

The learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner duly attended the hearing on January 29, 2025, but till date the Exempted Category Certificate has not been issued in favour of the petitioner. The learned advocate further submits that the petitioner submitted a representation dated July 1, 2025, praying for issuance Land Loser (Exempted Category) Certificate, but

no decision on the hearing has been communicated to the petitioner.

The learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the decision of the hearing shall be communicated to the petitioner within the time limit as may be fixed by this Court.

In the light of the submissions made by the learned advocates for the respective parties, WPA 2155 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the Additional Land Acquisition Officer, Land Acquisition Department, Murshidabad, being the respondent No.4 to communicate the decision of the hearing conducted on January 29, 2025 with regard to the issuance of Exempted Category Certificate in respect of the acquired plots in question as expeditiously as possible but positively within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a server copy of this order.

Needless to mention that if the said authority is of the view that the petitioner is entitled to get Land Loser (Exempted Category) Certificate, the same shall be issued within the period of 2 weeks from the date of communication of the said order.

There will be no order as to costs.
