1. The present application being CAN 1 of 2026 has been filed, inter alia, seeking for an extension of time for disposal of the show cause in terms of the order dated 1st December, 2025 passed in WPA 1913 of 2024.

2. According to learned advocate for the petitioner, the petitioner needs some more time to produce the certified copy of the registered deed being No. 3797 dated 23rd December, 1930 before the municipal authorities. According to the learned advocate for the petitioner, such document would enable the municipal authority to do complete adjudication of the show cause in a fair and informed manner.

3. Learned advocate for the municipality on the other hand would submit that in terms of the order dated 1st December, 2025, hearing was conducted, however, the petitioner could not produce the relevant documents on the said date.

4. Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and considering the materials on record, I am of the view since the copy of the deed dated 23rd December, 1930 has already been produced, some more time may be granted for the petitioner to place before the municipal authorities the certified copy thereof. Accordingly, the order dated 1st December, 2025 stands modified by permitting the municipality to decide on the show cause by a further period of 10 weeks from date.

5. Accordingly, the application being CAN 1 of 2026 is disposed of.
