Apprehending arrest in connection with in connection Kaliachak P. S. Case No. 619 of 2020 dated 1408-2020 punishable under Sections 379/411/413/414/120B of the Indian Penal Code, the present application has been filed.

The subject matter of the case involves stolen mobile phones. The present petitioner has been falsely implicated

on the statement of a co-accused as has been submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the State.

It is also seen that the investigation of the case has already been concluded and having regard to the stage of the case, we are of the opinion that the custodial detention of the present petitioner is unwarranted.

As such, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the present petitioner is allowed.

Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest the petitioner, namely, Ramij Raja shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties of like amount each to the satisfaction of arresting officer and subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.

The petitioner shall meet with the Investigating Officer of the case once a week on and from 19th April, 2021 until further orders.

This application for anticipatory bail is, thus, disposed of.
