Ld. advocate submits that till date the examination of the first witness for the prosecution is in progress and the next date has been fixed on 25th of June, 2024. The records of the case reflects that the case is under the provisions of PWDV Act, 2005.

Having considered the social perspective, ld. Magistrate is directed to fix at least one date in a month for the purpose of the present case so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment be granted to either of the parties. All stakeholders would cooperate with the ld. trial court to conclude the trial at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 370 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court, Calcutta.
