Ms. Kalali Dutta Mr. Sanjoy Chakraborty ....for the petitioners Mr. Pantu Deb Roy, AGP Mr. Subrata Guha Biswas ....for the State Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

The petitioners have alleged that the revenue authorities have not mutated the name of the petitioners in respect of the plots in question in spite of the fact that the petitioners duly applied for the same.

The learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the respondent authorities be directed to consider the application for mutation and to pass an order within specified time limit.

The petitioners have approached this Court alleging inaction on the part of the authorities under the West Bengal Land Reform Act, 1955, which is a specified Act under Section 2(r) of the West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal Act, 1997.

In view of the alternative and efficacious remedy available under the 1997 Act, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition.

Faced with such situation, the learned advocate for the petitioners prays for leave to withdraw this writ petition with liberty to approach the appropriate forum. In the light the submissions made by the learned advocate for the petitioners, WPA 2117 of 2026 stands dismissed as withdrawn with the liberty as sought for by the petitioners.

There will be no order as to costs.
