Mr. P. S. Deb Barman Mr. S. Alam Mr. S. Khandakar ...for the petitioner.
Mr. Saibal Bapuli, Ld. APP Mr. Bibaswan Bhattacharya ...for the State.
Petitioner renews the prayer for bail.
Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the trial is in progress and the next date fixed on April 19, 2022 for the purpose of recording evidence of the prosecution witness no. 8. The Court is informed that there are 26 witnesses of the prosecution.
Considering the fact that there is hardly any material change in circumstances subsequent to the earlier order of rejection dated May 19, 2020 passed in CRM 3530 of 2020 and considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to enlarge the petitioner on bail.
Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. C.R.M. (DB) 342 of 2022 is dismissed.
