The present writ petition has been filed, inter alia, praying for a direction upon the respondents to issue birth certificate in favour of the petitioner. 2.

Upon going through the averments including the affidavit of the petitioner, it would transpire that the petitioner was born on 2nd January, 1968. There is no disclosure made in the writ petition as to why the petitioner had not previously applied for issuance of birth certificate by the municipality. Having regard thereto and there being no proper explanation for the delay in the writ petition, I am not inclined to entertain the writ petition and the same is accordingly dismissed.
