Petitioners are aggrieved by the fact that the representation dated September 9, 2022 addressed to the Director General of Police, West Bengal has not been complied with till date.
The foundation of such representation was in respect of Standard Operation Procedure and/or guideline for transportation of cattle/livestock to Government of Meghalaya, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department. Petitioners have earlier also complained regarding certain resistance offered by the police authorities while transportation. Be that as it may, in case the representation of the petitioners dated September 9, 2022 has not been disposed of by the Office of the Director General of Police, West Bengal, a communication be made within a period of eight weeks from date in respect of the outcome of the
representation dated September 9, to the petitioners.
Since this Court has directed the representation to be considered by the Director General of Police, West Bengal, this Court has not gone into the merits of the accusations made in the writ petition.
With the aforesaid observations WPA 2022 of 2023 is disposed of.
Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.
Needless to state that since affidavits have not been called the accusations and/or allegations made against the respondents are deemed not to have been admitted.
All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
