The petitioner's prayer for mutation of the property standing at Holding Nos. 142/C, 142/C/1, 142/C/2 and 142/C/3, G.T. Road (West) under the Konnagar Municipality is yet to be considered. The application for mutation was filed in the year 2020 but the same has not been considered till date. Learned advocate appearing for the Municipality submits, upon instructions, that a new Board has taken up the function of the Municipality and necessary steps shall be taken for consideration of the prayer for mutation made by the petitioner.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Konnagar Municipality to

take into consideration the prayer of the petitioner for mutation of the aforesaid premises strictly in accordance with law, at the earliest, but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date communication of a copy of this order.

An opportunity of hearing shall be given to all the necessary parties at the time of consideration of the prayer of the petitioner.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
