Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, other co-accused were granted bail by the Jurisdictional Court. The police filed charge-sheet and, therefore, custodial interrogation of the petitioner is not required. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that, the petitioner was absconding for more than four years. He refers to the statement of the injured implicating the petitioner. Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein and considering the fact that the petitioner was absconding for more than four years, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 571 of 2022 is dismissed.
