Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that, the victim died due to drowning. The petitioner was falsely implicated.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that, the victim went with three others, which included the petitioner. The victim spent a night with those three persons. There were two calls made by the victim to his family members. We perused the materials in the case diary.

Police are proceeding with an investigation of murder.

There are materials in the case diary suggesting complicity of the petitioner in the incident including confessional statements.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner and the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
