Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is languishing in jail for a considerable period of time without any trial progressing.

Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail. Having considered that the petitioner is in custody since 28th of July, 2025 and charge-sheet having been submitted, I am of the view that some more efforts must be exerted.

It has been pointed out by the State that nine witnesses have already been examined and few more witnesses are left to be examined.

In view of the aforesaid, let the learned Court concerned pronounce the verdict within a period of six months. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM (M) 283 of 2026 is dismissed.

All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
