1. The affidavit-of-service filed in Court today is taken on record.

2. The petitioner complains inaction on the part of the municipal authorities in failing to take steps against the respondent No. 4 for having carried out illegal construction at premise No. 70, Harekrishna Kona Road, ward No. 60, Kolkata 700014.

3. Mr. Chatterjee, learned advocate appears for the KMC.

4. Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and noting that a representation has been made by the petitioner as regards illegal construction, I am of the view that KMC must hear out and dispose of such representation in accordance with law by carrying out an inspection of the premises-inquestion.

5. It is expected that a decision in this regard shall be taken by the KMC by passing a reasoned order as

WPA 2032 of 2026 expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 8 weeks from the date of communication of this order.

6. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
