1. Upon hearing the submissions made on behalf of both the parties the Court is of the opinion that since the investigation is held up for a considerable period of time, the pending investigation be transferred and conducted by the Detective Department of the Howrah Police Commissionerate.

2. A senior police officer in the rank of the Assistant Commissioner of Police is directed to supervise the process of investigation.

3. The investigation shall be conducted in a time bound manner and should conclude without any unnecessary delay.

4. The Investigating Officer of the Bally Police Station is directed to immediately hand over all documents in connection with the subject case to the Detective Department of the Howrah Police Commissionerate so that there is no further delay in the investigation process.

5. The new Investigating Officer who will handle the investigation will take immediate necessary steps to obtain the forensic report from the Cyber Forensics and Digital Evidence Examiner's Laboratory, Criminal Investigation Department, Module No. 113 & 114 Ground Floor, SDF Building, Sector -V, Salt Lake, Kolkata-700091.

6. The laboratory should immediately forward the forensic report to the Investigating Officer.

7. The writ petition stands disposed of.

8. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
