...For the State In view of the further investigation in connection with Burdwan P.S. Case No.1271/2022 still not reaching at a definite finding, the grievance of the petitioner is not being addressed. The Inspector-in-Charge, Burdwan police station has submitted a report and to the best of his ability he has made attempts.

However, prima facie, I am of the opinion that since substantial time period has lapsed in the meantime, the present case be transferred to the Missing Person Bureau, C.I.D., West Bengal. Accordingly, the Inspector-in-Charge, Burdwan police station or the investigation officer-incharge of Burdwan P.S. Case No.1271/2022 will transmit the record of the case to the officer-in-charge of Missing Person Bureau, C.I.D., West Bengal, who would depute an

officer of his choice for pursuing the investigation of the case. The concerned officer on each and every month will submit progress report before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Purba Bardhaman or the jurisdictional Magistrate in seisin of the case.

With the aforesaid directions, WPA/1981/2024 is disposed of.

Report, so submitted, is kept with the record. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, on priority basis, upon compliance of all necessary formalities.
