Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner seeks parity with the other coaccused who were granted anticipatory in CRM(A) 401 of 2022 dated January 31, 2022.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the injury report and the statements recorded under Section 161 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not in a position to return a finding that the petitioner stands on the same footing as that of the other co-accused who were granted anticipatory bail in CRM(A) 401 of 2022 dated January 31, 2022.

Consequently, considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

CRM (A) 587 of 2022 is dismissed.
